I know well the status-quo concerning acoustics, sound and vibration issues on board vessels and how newbuilding projects are normally handled. This is the reason that I believe that I am different in my thinking and acting because in all I am doing I do it with much pleasure and in a holistic way – always aim at to create a win-win situation for all participants and therefore for your project.

Over the past 25 years I have gained plenty of competence and experience in the field of ship acoustics and ship vibration due to my own successfully performed consulting projects, troubleshooting and R+D projects. Furthermore, I apply my excellent network with other professional experts, shipyards, suppliers as well as professional experts working in adjacent fields of competences in discovering and optimizing solutions for your project.
J.JOKAT CONSULTING is working together with other excellent professionals wherever necessary to ensure that your project is realized successfully.
On acoustic, sound and vibration aspects I support you, e.g. on,
- evaluation of general arrangement plans, room arrangements, pro and cons of different propulsion and dynamic propulsion plant concepts, etc.
- evaluation and/or drawing up and evaluation of technical specifications, building contracts etc. during the entire pre-contract or basic design phase
- acoustic, sound and vibration calculations are performed to ensure that specified sound and vibration limits will be kept
- drawing up entire sound and vibration concepts together with owners, shipyards and key suppliers
- follow-up and evaluation of all sound and vibration concepts are required for the project during the whole design, construction, building and delivery phases of the project
- performing acoustic, sound and vibration measurements
